Residency Program Details

Northern Prosthetics & Orthopedic and Quantum Prosthetics & Orthotics is actively seeking motivated individuals for our Prosthetic and Orthotic Residency program. This program is centered around patient care and offers a comprehensive learning experience.

Our clinicians are highly skilled, specializing in cutting-edge prosthetic and orthotic technologies. This expertise encompasses microprocessor-controlled prosthetic systems, advanced myo-electric upper limb prosthetics with pattern recognition, innovative sub-ischial socket designs, and state-of-the-art orthotic systems.

 

The program includes both internal and external educational opportunities, collaborations with various O&P manufacturers, and exposure to specialized patient care and clinical skills.

 

We employ advanced imaging and fabrication techniques, including scanning, 3D printing, and in-house fabrication lab. Residents will also gain insights into documentation, medical necessity establishment, and outcome measure data analysis for evidence-based care.  

 

Responsibilities include:

- Performing and documenting detailed clinical evaluations.
- Establishing and justifying medical necessity for O&P devices.
- Learning and applying modifications on plaster models and CAD software.
- Participating in the fitting, gait training, and follow-up of O&P devices.
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to clinical operations.
- Engaging in community awareness, marketing, educational services.
- Adhering to protocols in patient privacy, compliance, and professional ethics.
